Privacy Policy

What this site collects, which is close to nothing.

The Short Version

dezuze is a static website. It has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter sign-up and no advertising. It sets no tracking cookies and builds no profile of you.

What the Site Stores on Your Device

Two things, both optional and both local:

  • Theme preference. If you switch to dark mode, that choice is kept in your browser session storage so the site does not flip back as you navigate. It clears when you close the tab.
  • Page feedback. If you answer "was this page helpful", the answer is kept in session storage so the buttons remember your click. It is not sent anywhere.

Neither is a cookie, neither leaves your device, and the site works correctly if your browser blocks both.

Server Logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, requests are logged by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes. Those logs are handled by Cloudflare under its own terms and are not used by us to identify or profile visitors.

Links from dezuze to the four businesses described on our network page carry campaign parameters in the URL — utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign. These tell the destination site which dezuze page sent the visit. They contain nothing about you: no identifier, no email, nothing personal. They are a page label, not a tracker.

The destination sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you arrive there.

Fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google servers and Google receives your IP address as part of it. If you would rather avoid that, a browser extension that blocks third-party font loading will do so without breaking the site.

Email

If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to deal with it, and in our correction records where a correction resulted. We do not add you to any list, because there is no list.

Your Rights

If you are in the EU or UK you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to your data protection authority. In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email you sent us. Write to hello@dezuze.com and we will deal with it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update it here and change the date below. There is no mailing list to notify.
