How We Research, Write and Disclose
Where our numbers come from, how we handle the fact that we own the businesses we recommend, and how to tell us we got something wrong.
Why You Should Trust This Page
Because it is the page that tells you what is wrong with us.
dezuze refers readers to three businesses, and the publisher owns all three. That is a conflict of interest. It is not a hidden one — it is the funding model — and the only honest response is to state it everywhere it applies and to hold the editorial to a standard that survives it. This page is how we do that.
What We Do
We write practical guides on event, pop-up and brand activation formats for companies: what they cost, how long they take, and what constrains them. We are a publication, not an agency, and nothing on this site is a quote or an offer.
How We Research
Our numbers come from four places, in this order of preference:
- Real quotes and invoices from projects the writers worked on, anonymised and generalised into ranges.
- Published tariffs — organiser price lists, venue technical specifications, public fee schedules.
- Practitioner interviews — stand builders, production managers, caterers and venue technical managers.
- Regulation and standards as published by the relevant authority.
We publish ranges, not single figures, because a single figure implies a precision that does not exist in this industry. Where we give a range we say what it includes and what it excludes.
What We Will Not Do
- Publish a cost figure we cannot trace to one of the four sources above.
- Describe a format as "cheap" or "easy" without a number attached.
- Accept payment, product or hospitality in exchange for coverage or placement.
- Run sponsored posts, advertorials or paid guest articles.
- Present our own businesses as the result of a comparison we did not run.
How We Make Money — in Full
dezuze carries no advertising and sells nothing. It exists to send qualified readers to three businesses run by the publisher:
| Business | What it does |
|---|---|
| Concept Stand | Trade fair stand design, build and installation, Germany |
| Lezzet Geçidi | Tested recipes and food content |
| dodobob | Brand characters and mascots |
Three commitments follow from that:
We disclose on every surface. Every link to one of these businesses is labelled as ours — in the referral module and on the network page. You will never click one without having been told.
We do not pretend to have compared. When an article says Concept Stand can build a stand, it is telling you who we are, not the outcome of a market survey. If you want a comparison, get three quotes. We say so in the articles.
Relevance is a hard rule. A referral appears only where the business genuinely does that work. We do not put a stand builder at the bottom of a catering article to generate clicks.
These links are ordinary, followed links, tagged so we can see which articles send traffic. We do not mark them nofollow, because they are editorial links we stand behind rather than paid placements — and because disclosing a relationship plainly is a better answer than hiding it in an attribute most readers cannot see.
Fact-Checking and Corrections
Every guide is reviewed by someone who has delivered that kind of project before publication. Regulatory and cost claims are checked against a primary source at the time of writing, and prices are reviewed annually.
If something here is wrong, tell us. We will:
- correct it within five working days,
- note the correction and its date at the foot of the article where the change is material, and
- not silently rewrite a claim we got wrong.
Who Writes This
Articles carry a named byline and a date. Where an article is written by the editorial team rather than a named individual, it says so. Authors' professional relationships with the three businesses above are the relationships described on this page — there are no others to declare.
