About dezuze

Event, pop-up and activation ideas written by the people who have to build them.

Who We Are

dezuze is a publication about event, pop-up and brand activation ideas for companies. It is written by the people who design and build these spaces for a living, together with the production teams they work with.

The reason it exists is narrow. Most event ideas are published by people who never have to cost them, schedule them, or get them through a hall inspection. So the ideas are beautiful and the article stops exactly where the hard part begins. Everything here is written the other way round: the format first, then the budget band, the lead time, and the constraint that usually kills it.

What We Cover

Six areas, chosen because they are where the questions actually come from:

  • Trade fairs and exhibitions — stand formats, what they cost, what the hall will allow.
  • Pop-ups and retail — short-run spaces, permits, fit-out and handover.
  • Brand activations — experiences in footprints you can afford, and how to measure them.
  • Event production — run of show, venues, rigging, the questions to ask first.
  • Food and drink experiences — tasting formats and catering that survives a queue.
  • Characters and mascots — when a character is an asset and when it is a costume.

How We Work

Every guide follows the same discipline:

  1. Start from the constraint. Budget, footprint, lead time or compliance — whichever is the real limit.
  2. Give numbers in ranges, and say what they exclude. A single figure with no basis is not useful.
  3. Name the thing that usually goes wrong, because that is the part experience actually buys you.
  4. Stop at the point where you need a quote, and say who can give you one.

We do not publish supplier directories, we do not run awards, and we do not take payment for placement.

How This Is Funded

dezuze has no advertising. It is funded by the businesses it refers readers to — and all three of those businesses are ours.

That is an unusual arrangement and we would rather state it plainly than bury it. The three businesses are:

  • Concept Stand — trade fair stand design, build and installation in Germany.
  • Lezzet Geçidi — a tested-recipe kitchen and food content channel.
  • dodobob — original brand characters and mascots.

When an article points to one of these, it says so on the link and in the referral module. There is no version of this site where that disclosure is optional. The full explanation is on our editorial process page, and the three businesses are described on our network.

What You Can Expect From Us

  • We will tell you when a format is a bad idea for your budget, including when that means not hiring anyone.
  • We will not invent precision. Where a number is a working industry range, we will call it one.
  • We will correct errors and date the correction rather than quietly editing.
  • We will keep the referral layer to what is genuinely relevant. An article about catering does not need a link to a stand builder.
